High-frequency Test Fixtures from Ingun are developed and manufactured according to customer demands.
Examples of Custom Designing are:
• RF-sealed Metal Cover (made of Cu) for high-frequency shielding of the UUT, which is individually manufactured and independent from the frequency of the UUT and the required space attenuation (e.g. 1 Lambda spacing from the emitter to the inside walls of the Cover in the range of 2.4 GHz).
• No influence of the UUT by external conditions, e.g. frequency shift of oscillators by hand capacities of the operator.
• Protection of the operator against above-average high-frequency fields, due to the absorbing function of the HF-Cover.
• RF-Cover manufactured with high-quality materials, e.g. usage of Teflon because of its good RF-characteristics.
• Contacting via INGUN Radio-frequency Probes (HFS) to coaxial 2-pol connections with the right impedance, or RF-suitable via INGUN High-current Probes (HSS). Note: Shorting of the spring is ensured, which subsequently avoids series-inductivity through the spring.
• Laying of the cables from the RF-Cover to the outside via ceramic feed-through capacitors and ferrite beads (in the case of NF-signals and power supplies) as well as with coaxial cables for RF-signals.
Note: To manufacture an RF-Fixture the following additional information must be supplied:
• The level of the RF-attenuation characteristics of the chamber to the outside.
• The attenuation values (in dB), which are dependant on the frequency and the free space in the chamber.
• The value must be measured and derived by an RF-laboratory (customer) and can vary from fixture to fixture.
